The patent for recycling CO2 to Di Methyl Ether belongs to Mr. Chandrashekhar J.K., who is the sole and original inventor of Patent No. 1037/MAS/1999, dated October 10th, 1999, entitled ‘Carbon Recycling Technology’. According to Section 11A of the Indian Patents Act 1970, applications submitted to the patent office prior to October 31, 2001, were deemed to have been published. The amendment to the Patent Act 1970 was made in 2002, and the Patent Rules 2003 came into force on May 20th, 2003.

The patent No. 1297/CHE/2010, dated May 10th, 2010, entitled ‘Zero Emission Technology for Power Production using Carbon Dioxide Recycling Technology,’ was published in the ‘Indian Patent Journal’ on April 13th, 2012. It was granted as Patent No. 284250 on June 10th, 2017, and now stands as a patented technology.
